FAQ
Common questions
What is an IP PBX?
It is the office phone system. It connects extensions to each other and to outside lines, and provides features such as call transfer, voicemail, ring groups and an automatic menu for callers.
Do IP phones need special cabling?
They use the normal network cabling, and most can be powered by a PoE switch, which avoids a separate power adapter for each phone.
Can staff take calls on their mobile phones?
Many systems support an app or forwarding so extensions can ring on a mobile. We check what your chosen system supports before quoting.
Can the new system use our existing phone numbers?
Usually yes, through a SIP trunk or gateway from your line provider. We check what your provider supports.
How do I get a quote?
Tell us the number of extensions, the number of outside lines and whether you have more than one site. We send a clear quote. Quotations are free.
